Use non-slip surfaces and secure ramps or steps. Keep bedding, food and water accessible without a difficult climb.
Let comfort set the pace
Keep movement gentle and consistent within your vet’s advice. Do not force activity or stretches when your pet seems uncomfortable.
Ask about pain relief
Home changes support comfort but do not replace treatment. Never give human pain medicine or use another pet’s prescription.
For your dog
Choose shorter, comfortable walks and a supportive bed. Ask your vet about a properly fitted support harness before using one.
