Notice what still brings ease
Record comfort, appetite, breathing, mobility, rest and interest in familiar people or routines. Look at patterns of good and difficult days.
Ask for support early
Talk with your vet about symptom relief, hospice options and how to recognize distress. Ask who to call after hours and what urgent signs mean for your pet.
Plan at your own pace
Ask about end-of-life choices, home visits where available and aftercare. You do not have to decide alone or use one score as the only guide.
For your cat
Notice whether your cat can rest comfortably, reach water and use the litter box. Quiet withdrawal can be a sign that more support is needed.
